These pheasant candlesticks are cast in porcelain and decorated with my hand-carved slip designs, inspired by the wildlife and patterns of the British countryside. Each one is full of personality — long striped tail, bright eye, and a proud little stance ready to hold a taper candle.
 
Slipcast from my original sculpture, the birds are carved by hand, giving every candlestick its own unique markings and character. The base is textured with grasses and woodland lines, echoing the scenes I carve in my sgraffito pieces.
 
Finished in bold black and white, they make a striking pair or individually on a mantlepiece or table — little woodland guardians for your candlelight.
