Strutting through a tangle of wildflowers and seed heads, a pheasant makes his way along the edge of field and woodland — tail high, chest proud, as if the day has been laid out just for him.
There’s a lightness here, a quiet humour — the simple pleasure of a bright day in the hedgerow, where even the smallest wander feels like something worth celebrating.
Hand-carved in bold black and white, the scene is created using the sgraffito technique, each line etched by hand to reveal the detail beneath. Inspired by the rhythm of the British countryside and the storytelling of folk art, every plate is individually made in porcelain stoneware, giving each one its own subtle character.
Approx. 160mm x 30mm — a small plate, full of quiet strut and countryside charm.
