From the hush of the woods, the fox appears — a quiet trickster slipping through bluebells and cowparsley, where brambles twist and goose grass clings. He moves between worlds, part shadow, part storyteller, curious and sure-footed.

In bold black and white, his tale is told in simple lines and quiet patterns — a nod to Scandinavian folk art, where mischief and magic live side by side.

This piece captures that fleeting moment when the wild world stirs and something secret steps into view.

White Porcelain Stoneware clay - Black slip - Transparent stoneware glaze. The illustration is carved, through a layer of black slip, to reveal the white clay surface beneath, using a method called 'sgraffito'. The style is reminiscent of linocut graphical work. Each platter is entirely unique and takes hours of carving but the finished platter has a beautiful, tactile, 'relief' surface.
