The jug is formed from white earthenware clay and a soft grey slip, giving the scene a muted, gentle quality — like early morning light, or a memory just beginning to fade.
 
Carved using the sgraffito technique, the surface is drawn through with fine lines and pattern, wrapping the form in movement and story.
 
The tree-shaped handle adds a sculptural touch, designed to sit comfortably in the hand while echoing the woodland world below.
